I woke up past midnight to a flash in the sky
I Heard Rain on the roof and felt tears in my eyes
A window pane broken with rain coming in
Your face in the sky Iā€™m to empty to cry.

I reach to fix the shattered glass
And Turn the clock to a time gone past
Perfect Moments never last
Perfect then now gone and slash
Cut and bleeding, bleeding fast.

Once you did love me my rose in the day
You were my water
Our son and our daughter
A new day in brightness had barely begun
Now darkness was coming
Now darkness is dawning
The water the longing
The thirst of belonging

Try to fix the shattered glass
Your eyes have left me staring past
Perfect moments, die is cast
My ship is sailing with a broken mast
Cut and bleeding, bleeding fast.

I look at the water the rain on the floor
I see my reflection behind me a door
It silently opens and the face I am sure
Is pictured behind me still frozen in time
A captured bright moment now covered in crime
The door closes quickly I look at the sky
I think of our love with black tears in my eye
The broken glass window with rain coming in
A moment together from which we begin
A foolish reply and I let in the sin.

Try to fix the shattered glass
Turn the clock to time gone past
Perfect moments never last
Moments gone black future vast
My history is written broken past,
Cut and bleeding, bleeding fast.
