Jumping rope with the alphabet
As I toss and turn all night,
Splattering ramblings across my eyelids
While I dream of you,
Your laughter,
A lullaby that eases me into the darkness not in fear,
But in comfort.
The guesses have been removed and now
I don't lie awake at night
Wondering if our bedtime story was simply unfinished.
