I am not quite sure
if my words reached your head,
as your hair is a mess of long, brown tangles.

I am not quite sure
if my worries reached your heart,
as your muscles are strong, protecting it.

I am not quite sure
if my love reached your soul,
as your warm eyes are fixated on another.

I am quite sure
your listening ears heard my voice,
as you kindly replied through closed teeth and biased tongue.
