Regret
Looking in your eyes
fills me with nothing but regret
this meeting of hearts,
bleeding and bruised
beaten and burnt
love is nothing but a memory, now
tainted by time,
I thought I could twist
that first kiss, that first touch
scattered ashes of passion, now spent
fated tragedy, misspent youth
a spiral of sorrow
that will never see tomorrow
