Falling in love, I suppose.
I fell in love with
iced coffee in the winter time,
and with words said at the
wrong moment.
I fell in love with,
the way you said my name,
and the way you said goodbyes
were your least favorite,
and you hated every one.
I fell in love with,
poems written on cafe napkins,
and the drawings you left
with my things.
My favorites were never
****** knuckles, or,
leaving myself in a polaroid.
I never thought I'd buy in,
to iced coffee and
rain on Sunday mornings.
Or lose myself in rock n' roll,
and twist my wrist to hold your hand.
I fell in love with the aura
of my favorite amber eyes.
I fell for the crooked grin
of a faceless painting,
and the developing
of the negatives.
I fell in love with stormy weather,
and movies at 2am.
I fell in love with
the jokes we made, and,
the songs we'd sing.
But, if he asked me,
I wouldn't say a thing.
