I can't say I love you
Not that I don't, I do
From the first time we met,
From our first chat
I instantly became a believer in fate
It was never about getting under your skirt, or taking you for a mate
Even though your body of a goddess did tempt
Your lips I did dream to kiss, but to hold your hand throughout the walk of life always topped my listΒ Β

I won't say I love you,
Not that I don't, I do
Fear holds my tongue
Oxygen betrays my lungs
My heart races, up and down my brain paces
My left eye twitches,
My scalp itches, I scratch it and I remember why,
I can't say I love you,
Not that I don't, I do
I would, if only the last time I did you had said that you loved me too
