I can't stop dreaming of your arms around me,
A soft touch
Fleeting on my lips
Not lived enough when it was there
To fully remember.
I see myself kissing you
In third person,
Slow motion,
Like an old movie spinning
From reel to reel.
I stuff the covers in my mouth,
For a while I forget I'm alone.
And when our hands brush I know
You hear the thunder screaming
And I wonder why I have to leave
Every night, if I'll ever really find
The right time for you to be mine
Or if I'll always be pretending
Like I don't fall asleep
With your arms on my waist,
Your lips on mine
