I am broken,
my heart fell apart
like fragile porcelain.

I once was your dancer,
caught in your fragmented mind
dancing in a circle seemed
like forever.

But you broke my heart
over and over again, each
time I got stronger, I
built a better person
out of the shattered pieces
of myself.

My heart will always remember
your smile and blue eyes
that pulled me closer into
your world.

You lied to me,
you promised me forever,
you promised me you’d
be good to me, treat me
like I am special.

Instead you beat upon my
porcelain heart until it
shattered into fragments
of who you are.

Love, you broke my jars
releasing the passion
you promised me.
