Jul 2020
watermelon cubes
sticky chins and citrus smiles
the sun exposes the peach fuzz across my top lip
but I don't mind

I lay on my back
and still see orange when I close my eyes
grass poking through the gaps in my body
sweet mango grin at the thought of space between my limbs

the grass starts to itch and I know I'm alive
my tongue now a bitter lemon
wild cherry thoughts
wondering how to escape this body for five minutes

blueberry heart
maybe it's just me
and the sun
