PRICELESS PURITY
How can people be so hostile,
nurse old grudges and be quite vile?
How can they live with no calmness
life endows with the pure goodness?

Don't they feel their sins are like hands,
Pressing on their necks with waxed cords?
Sins will colour all their inside
with the hue that man can't abide.

Man can endure thirst and hunger,
poverty, defeat and anger,
but how man can bear his foul soul;
this to mind l never can call.
