I was lost in the dark,
nothing to see,
I was blind by anger,
Wish I had received,
My heart was gone
with no feeling inside,
I used to not care
and I never had any pride,
I thought of myself as a nobody,
But now I see the light shining right through me,
I have more respect than I had before,
My heart is filled with plenty of joy,
I can feel my body coming out of its shell
and I truly know I have found myself.
I can feel the pressure lifting off of me,
I love myself and I'm happy to say God
showed me the way to freedom, and
when I look around I see a different
girl and know I finally found myself.
