Slavery
SLAVERY
A whip slashes across your arm,
All intended to do you harm,
A sturdy rope ties your two bare hands,
Taking you to a foreign land,
Death awaits those who donβt obey,
Without a break or a delay,
Pools of blood upon your face,
As the men pick up their pace,
Eyes are blinded by the mud,
With some bruises full of blood,
As they sell you off with glee,
In return for some money,
Your wife is dead and so is your kid,
From the things those people did,
Nothing left to fight for,
What was loved is no more,
Your hope is small,
As you begin to fall,
with nothing left,
except your death.
