puppeteer
although
everyone else may be
although
you may hold their strings
i cut mine long ago
and
when you pull away
(as you always do)
leave us to gather dust
(as you always do)
when
you pull the strings once more
i
will not go dancing back
i
will perform for you no more
i would rather be unused
then be used by you
a flighty puppeteer.
