NIGHT
NIGHT
Oh beautiful princess!
The maiden swaying between sunrise and sunset.
You are seen only in dark blue.
I admire thy beauty.
Oh dear glamorous night,
Revealer of one's attitude.
Knower of intentions.
Gatherer of happiness.
Stars dancing up in the sky
Moon beaming smiles
Darkness fills the sky,
Faraway from the sun.
Little children run around
Singing happy-clappy.
Waiting for moonlight stories.
Oh ye giver of joy!
A night, One night
Some nights, Other nights
This night, That night
Oh ye peaceful night.
I come like the night,
Full of disorderliness.
People with dreams and aspirations shattered.
I salute thee!
Tenants of the night
The hour of evil has come
The peace of the night has been disrupted.
Oh dear great night!
We have come to greet thee.
All we ask is half of your wealth
And peace of mind yours will be.
Oh ye night!
Why do ye allow these agitators,
Spoil the serenity
Of this beautiful and peaceful night?
