When you closed your eyes,
And took the last breath

Not frightened of the journey awaiting you,
Yet steady to spread your wings to the heavenly realms,
Where your wounds would be erased forever

Your wings were ready baby,
What about my heart,
Ripped apart to million pieces?

I thought it's another prank,
Until you walked in in mama's room in a little coffin,
So heavy yet so little,

Sleeping so peacefully as if I could just tickle you until you smiled,
like you always did,
Yet you betrayed me,
How bittersweet...

I stood there so still,
Yet tears weren't so still
As I took a long glance of what seemed to be the shortest,
I got to see you for the last time, remember?

Yet my feet of strength failed me,
As I trembled down to the ground,
As if I could hear God whisper a miracle,
Yet nothing, but a betrayal

Ashes to ashes,
dust to dust,
Your spirit back to the Father,
Your body to the ground,
to be feasted by these worms

Just like flower withers,
So did you....
