Listening to voices of free fleeting birds, I yearn to be one of them, so joyous and heard.
Their simple-minded nature, their freedom from control; The carefree flight in these birds encapsulates my soul. But then... My eyes well up and turn into ocean, While heavy rocks sink me to hard ground. Why is it here I wonder where else my soul can be found?
And then I turn to look and see, What entity is shining so brightly for me. I see a glowing light by the intricately woven roots of a tree, Full of laughter that is trilling with feelings of ecstasy.
The rocks finally move out of my way, To a place where there is not a light of day; And the luminescence naturally pervades, As the trees nurturing branches reach out and sway.
Endless appreciation bursts out of my soul; This beautiful view of forever builds broken me into whole.
