there are some songs
that end up being tainted

'cause i tend to play one on repeat
for a certain amount of time

that when i haven't listen to it for a while
and wanna remember what it sounds like

it takes me back
to the moments of when it was played on repeat
and sometimes
those moments were not pretty
even when the song is happy

and it could be the opposite
and breaks me even harder
'cause either i know it's something beautiful
that i can no longer have

or reminds me of a someone
who once were my day and night
but no longer there
