Letting Go

Don't shy away oh dear the sky soon will be clear there isn't much to leave behind us so keep your sight in the horizon. Don't cry over what couldn't be all the late night laughs and the rusty promise rings, that felt as handcuffs, more than anything I was hoping you could understand I was never trying to escape it's just my heart that hasn't been in the best shape I guess it was too much to ask for to spend some time just once in a while laughing time away, end our days with a smile.
