unexpected

by Swangirl

Love, when it comes, is unexpected you think it to come at a later time or that it won't come soon enough you spend all your time preparing for its chance arrival but when it comes you are unprepared your heart leaps up in a flurry of emotion not knowing what to say but saying it all at once Your touch seems to last forever and yet is over in heartbeat and afterwards you scream and dance for joy but weep at not being able to see it soon enough it comes with a soft knock that you can barely hear and all of a sudden there it is before you Love is unexpected let it remain that way forever
