Christmas has been cancelled
and the Easter break's in doubt
while all those holidays i have pencilled
can be all rubbed out

shortened will be my weekends
no Friday night pub crawl
no Saturday BBQ's with friends
or Sundays at the mall

from work for me there'll be no break
