Train tracks rusting, their life lingers beyond its time

The path it slices, slow to heal
The lasting thoughts we all will feel

To laugh, to learn, to live, to love
To lust, to lose , to lack, to lie

These tracks when laid left a lasting impression as everything grew around.

These track they stayed as everyone left, to leave them on their own

The lasting legacy, what they left behind is all that truly remains

The wildlife will once again claim this land, but for now the tracks will still stand, as a reminder for all who knew them.
