May 2020
emerald waves swirl
concentric & gilded
like a life cut short
by swallows caring
not for great loves
nor drowning sigh
of magic once spun
by sprites among
willow wands &
marigolds wise
enough to know
our thoughts are
just sounds that
taste of the urge
to do otherwise
