he was a posh and pompous cat
with fur as smooth as silk
who didn't care much for a pat
or a bowl of milk

his claws were always manicured
with teeth sharp as a knife
in french he only out loud purred
next to his feline wife

who whilst being tiny and petite
was a clever cat
guess which cat landed on their feet
and which one went splat
