Why is it that most poets are born
Not out of pleaure but out of pain
When their hearts are broken and torn
Then truly art does stand to gain

Why is it that most poets are created
In the midst of great oppression
When they tend to become frustrated
And remain in deep depression

Why is it that most poems are written
On many an insomniac night
or in true love we are hurt or bitten
is it then that the moment is right?

Why is that most poems are conceived
Out of so much heartbreak and strife
Is it then that the muse is received,
Or is it just the way of life?
