roasted ghosts

Roasted shadows,

Maws opening upon,

High-grace bones,

Your face glistening,

Moist memories of days past,

Pulling the rope,

Futures intertwined in hope,

Gracious hosts don’t mend,

Not the ghosts as they,

Float along the coast.
