May 2020
before my golden sun
shines with a rusted hue
before my blue skies run
from smoke that chimneys spew

before my moon has found
no need to tame the nights
before my stars are drowned
in floods of neon lights

before a black storm looms
and acid rains descend
before my garden blooms
with concrete and cement

before my dreams are thrown
and locked in endless slumber
before i'm better known
to you as just a number

before the oceans rise
and all the forests fall
before every rose dries
and love withers with all

before this world of mine
becomes a children's fable
where once upon a time
to smile they were able

So, while sun golden shines
and skies are blue above
i ask, before i'm out of lines
who will tomorrow love ?
