Fair water, still
In thine own purest flow
The clear, refreshing river
An emblem of the brightest glow

A hidden beauty
Soiled by human hands
Thy waters run deep and true
Onto distant lands!

You keep the memory still
Within thine frozen heart
And in the wave you resemble
A truest work of art!

For in my eye
I will gaze upon your splendour
And there I shall find-in moments time
Your calm and sweet surrender!
