May 2013
When you went i expected rain,
a soft smattering slowly becoming a deluge
that would not wash this day away
but mark it
for others to know an absence
had started.
The clouds didn't defer,
they parted
and the stretching sun ran through
the first hours of loss
to show it goes on
as you will go on.
