Jun 2010
So broken and shattered you yield to the pain
enveloping your spirit from within
You cling to the inevitable resolve you now have
To remain imprisoned by the very chains which you defend

Completely ensnared in your incessant vigilance to endure
You are steadfast and true to the end
But a victory you may never see in this time
Or your freedom, regain back once again

You now lie to yourself and paint a vision untrue
A beautiful picture with change in the hue
Knowing all the while, the shades will remain the same
As long as there is no change inside of you

Go and gather the pieces and patch them together
You will find a fit that is perfect for you
Release your spirit from this imprisoning snare you defend
To yourself, be ever steadfast and true
