I was his everything, or that’s what he said.
He liked other girls, but I didn’t want to believe it.
I held on too long, so he knew that I wouldn’t let go.
I wanted us to be the end game, but all he wanted it to was a fling.
This was a year ago. Why can’t I let go?
I hold wondering if he will come to me
He ever has, but I still wait in shallow and petty.
