Darkness shatters
I saw a picture today. This is what it felt like:
Darkness shattering across my heart
Splinters left for me to pick up
Because each smile you give to someone else leaves me wondering if I was really enough
You roved the landscape of that darkness
But never with me
You left that broken glass for me to clean up
Saying simply “I might”
