Two eighty
Barbed, twisted roots,
gnarled with bitter bile.
Cutting, stabbing tendrils,
snagging purchase with cruel guile.
Winded, wounded outrage,
stumbling, sagging, overloaded.
Doubting, nagging insults,
confidence imploded.
