just look at what's become of us,
but you left me no choice,
my heart is mortal, it is of flesh
and if flesh is anything, it is fallible,
my heart can only endure so much,
three years I gave you my love in every which way I could think of,
through poems, through gifts, through unanswered walls of text,
through my sleeping thoughts, through my waking moments,
I embraced your silence, I embraced your rejection,
for these were only things you would give me,
and so I cherished them,
because they were of you.

Death was the only option,
and so at night whilst it slept (dreaming of you no doubt)
I approached with a blade a' glinting and I drove it into it's spine,
I pulled it's hair back as to expose the neck and proceeded to slit it
I watched as it bled out, bled out the thick rich blood, so dense
so pure, so innocent, all for you
"Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hand?"
