A year has passed since we last met,
Try as I may I can't forget
your smile- your words when I sank below
into despair- You helped me so
but I, a fool, did not accept
the pain you had; when you wept
I saw nothing, I was selfish;
I did only to find my bliss-
not yours but mine and mine alone.

Each day that fades before my eyes,
With it, my guilt it grows- Sunrise,
sunsets, they but repeat to no
avail- You never came back- Though
I'm told not to, I can't help but
think back- Your pain with each fierce cut
that bled your soul; You gave me your all
and I live now, but then I stall
and stall- I must forget they tell.
For you, I must live through this hell.
