I do strive for you
And you alone.
Though all I am is flesh and bone
I will battle the world for you alone
Though my strength is small
And my manners not fit for a ball
I would dance my heart out and call
For you to be my sweet, sweet doll
I know my rhymes are lame
But you are such a dame
That I could not but name
All that I would do
If I could simply have you!

So I do strive for you
And you alone.
Though you may come
From above and I am but ****
But I will try not to be so dumb
Yet my heart is as a drum
But it seeks a rhythm
And it is a song of love that I hope to hum
But that is to you
If you decide to be my bride.
