Poems
Mar 2020
money is money
Purging me in my own territory
haunting me in my own domain
cracking me down in my own metropolitan
painful pinch of brokenness
painful slap of poverty
Desperately looking here and there
Eminent wake of temptations
In the face of luxuries
hugging me with hunger and desire
yearning for what I cannot get
longing for what can never be mine
Weak at the sight of my strongest desires
learning my lessons the hard way
Economic freedom unheard of
Learning to live with in my means
Mastering my desires
Mastering the art of survival
Mastering the science of priorities.
