May 2013
a clearer night,
more conscience,
more control.

to see you turn away
after a short embrace,
is harder than
resisting
yet another taste.

a constant pull
brings me back to you,
yet liquor seems to be
the catalyst
between
you
       and
              me

an urge, yet again,
failed to fight off.
a cautious embrace,
slowly approached.

a clearer night,
more conscience,
more control-
yet,
a somber taste lingers
after a quick shot
of repressed passion
