In a house in Seattle a tiny
mouse scared my wife.
I set a trap with cheese.
That night in bed I heard a snap.
I went to bear witness to sorrow.
I wouldn't hurt a fly.
The house began to shake
off its foundation.
Earthquake of an
angry God reminding
me that every life is
sacred in ways we
have to accept on faith.
Cells have souls.
