always love
Love
splits us
apart
like the parting
of the sea
waves of longing
rippling between
my heart and yours
crashing against
the rocks of our souls
shattering like glass
we were holding
back the flood
learning how to navigate
the ocean
with a compass
in our arm
like a needle supplying us
with the sweetest of drugs
it was love
(always love)
