May 2013
A sailor, a proud man of the ocean
Strode up the dock to the land
His heart gave a peculiar motion
Upon sight of the ******* the sand

She stood with her back to him
Her hair the color of the sun
Though the day was rather dim
His heart was already won

He called out his love to her
And said they would travel the seas
He said they could go where she’d prefer
Wherever, wherever she’d please

But still the slight figure shunned him
Stayed turned as he begged why
At this the figure twisted, most grim
And in a deep voice said, I’m a guy
