May 2013
Your ice touched the fire
it was I who got burned
You held tight to the flames
for which I always yearned
You were given her soul
and you gave it no thought
While I'll never have
what I desperately sought
I am broken, I've shriveled
I'm shattered, bereft
I had no hope to start with
now I have nothing left
