Love is a parallel line
Startled by an unexpected kiss
Love is your reflection in reverse
What others see, but you have missed
Love is prejudice sliced and diced
And served up as a humble dish
Love is shyness defeated
Reluctantly tried
Eagerly repeated
Love is a broken pattern
Broken dishes, broken hearts
Love is a crow foot tear
A silence closed off to words
Love is yearning learning growing
Old together forever
Love is submerged
Sunken treasure
Love is the echo
Of emptiness
In us
