A Girl Who Bought a World

I saw a girl who bought a world.

The smile on her face,

Has told a story of happiness

The kind is bought with wealth.

A world to her - like a new toy

Amusing and so fun

And not a man in a whole town

Just wouldn't face the truth.

I saw a girl who lost a world

The tears that are down her eyes

Has told a story the saddest of all

The one that can't be fixed with wealth.

I saw a world that lost a girl.

The shameful funeral,

Has told a story of ignorance

And people who don't care.

A girl to them was like a toy

Amusing and so fun

And a not person in a whole town

Wanted to face the truth.
