This one is for you, my man in blue
Your touch I miss, your warm soft kiss
A strong and tough guy, my angel in disguise
A man like you has a lot of nerve, to do what you do, to protect and serve
I saw it from the start, your big huge heart
You give all that you have, just to wear that badge
Full of confidence and full of pride, you'll wear that uniform until the day you die
Intentions sincere, you show no fear
Always seeing hate and crime, willingly devoting all your time
You tell me it's all worth it, no chance you'll ever quit
I'll never ask this of you, because I know only one thing is true
As selfless as you seem, you are living out your dream
To know you gives me pride, I love being by your side
I love you more than words can say, And think about and pray for you each and every day
My guy in blue, if only you knew
How much you are protected and loved from the Lord above
You're a cut above the rest, and a force to be reckoned with my dear, Officer West
