Day Four: Wounded
I am a wounded animal,
licking my own wounds,
resting in the ruins,
of a broken heart.
I am a wounded animal,
blood all around,
from when you shot me down,
flesh torn and weak.
I am a wounded animal,
once gallant and free,
until you wounded me,
and faded into the horizon.
I am a wounded animal,
and only you can heal me,
only you can free me,
I need your tender love.
