It was a backwards time
when I thought that I knew
everything,
how wrong was I?

I got the wrong idea
from what I saw on the
T.V. screen,
I thought my life would be
a movie and everything would
turn out alright.

but here I am
sleeping alone tonight

I get a dark eyed stare
when I look in the mirror
it comes clear to me that I should
disappear.

I wish I never learned to be so
good at vanishing, but here I am
the King of Disappearing.
