All the nights we spent with eyes so wide
All the tears I have ever cried
They've all been for myself

The times I wish I hadn't lied
Every time I took a selfish stride
Every time I'd fallen with my pride
They've all been for myself

I've never tried to turn the tide
though I've gazed at the Golden Sun outside
Beauty captured and revived
Oh! I am glad to be alive

The sweet cold air
winter perfume
no reason to sit about in gloom
Await the pure oncoming June
to wrap me warm in glories womb

Going to gather gallant pride
oppose me and we will collide
I can be a champion if I try
and do this for myself
