Tingly Feelings

When I forget my jacket, in the cool November weather. When I watch a scary movie, and I forget what’s real. When I hear that perfect word, and my heart feels on fire. When she touches me right there, in that desperate, broken way. When I whisper “I Love you,” after hanging up the phone. But it’s always the worst, When I swear she whispers back.
