Poetry is not for everyone, only
the special: those who see fields
for loving, not cutting; those who
hear sonatas for breathing, not
listening; those who know a sea
is for walking, not sailing; those
who find a panoply of human skin
colors a sign of heaven, not hell;
those whose poetry is not for
prizes, but truth and beauty.
