I Am A River

I am a river, a free flowing river
Cascading over the bend
I cool and soothe my earth
With every turn that I extend
I am river, a sparkling river
Reflecting the early sunrise
I shine and glow with brilliance
As I look up to the blue skies
I am river, a traveling river
Traversing through the meadows
I pass over mountains and valleys
As the birds fly through the shadows
I am a river, an infinite river
Blowing my gentle breeze
I caress and embrace my path
Giving sustenance as I please
